Don't stress hashtag: Leaf on sandy beach

What can you do to reduce your level of stress? Need a pick me up midday?

Here’s a simple DIY recipe you can whip up in no time. You’ll be making a small amount. But, a little goes a long way. Hand these little tins to a few friends this week. They’ll thank you! 🙂

Ingredients and round tin lip balm containers

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons coconut oil

3 tablespoons beeswax

1 tablespoon sweet almond oil

5 aluminum empty round lip balm tins (double or triple the recipe to make more)

organic eucalyptus (lemon) essential oil – 6 drops

organic orange essential oil – 3 drops

organic cinnamon leaf essential oil – 4 drops

Essential oils

This blend of essential oils has a strong uplifting scent. It works great for that added stress and tension! Why? This is what these oils are known for:
  • Eucalyptus essential oil- very refreshing, typically cooling, helps with healthy breathing.
  • Orange essential oil- can promote detoxification, enhances mood and calmness.
  • Cinnamon Leaf essential oil- helps energize and awaken senses.
  • These are just a few of the wonderful benefits that essential oil have.
Instructions:

Ingredients: Coconut oil and White Beeswax

  • Melt beeswax in a microwave-safe bowl for 15 seconds. Since we’re using such a small amount, it will melt quickly. Stir until completely melted and clear in color. Melt the 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, stir and pour into beeswax. Depending on your microwave, I would suggest melting at 10-second intervals. Pour 1 tablespoon of the sweet almond oil into the mixture. Then, add essential oils. You can always add more or less depending on your preference for the strength of the scent.

Adding essential oils to base oil mixture

  • Scoop ½ teaspoon into each tin container. Let cool and harden. The balm mixture will set up pretty quickly. However, I would wait an hour or two before putting tin lid covers on.
  • Your creation is ready to use, label or package for your friends, family or customers.

Ointment in tins and essential oils in bottles

This balm is very convenient for anyone on the go. Store in your desk at work, purse or nightstand. To use, simply apply a small amount to temples, back of the neck and even your ankles and wrists. Enjoy the blend of stress relieving aromas.
